Moving analytics rehab app leads to improved cardiac health among veterans

Based on internal data, patients at the Atlanta Veterans Affairs Medical Center who have had a heart attack or cardiac procedure are unlikely to successfully complete a cardiac rehabilitation program post-procedure.
The VA Center launched a pilot program with Moving Analytics, which offered veterans tailored, home-based cardiac rehabilitation via their smartphones.
After 90 days, 80% of patients were still enrolled in the program, which is 4 times the average cardiac program retention rate of 20%. The group also experienced a 20% improvement in functional capacity and a reduction in systolic blood pressure.
