Impact Thesis
OnlineMedEd can increase representation and improve the diversity of medical practitioners in the U.S., which may contribute to closing health outcome disparities.
OME IS HELPING STUDENTS GRADUATE FROM RIGOROUS PROGRAMS AND SUCCEED AS PRACTICING PHYSICIANS
OnlineMedEd's mission is to elevate health care education to create better providers. OME seeks to address not only excellence in training but also biases in medicine that contribute to the health outcome disparities seen today. OME has several promises, including but not limited to:
1) Encourage inclusivity by normalizing diversity of beliefs, preferences and appearances;
2) Medical knowledge belongs to no one, and so should be available to everyone - its core video lessons are always free;
3) Make better providers, leaders, and human beings, not just better test-takers, because medicine is more than knowledge; and
4) Deliver content that meets the learner where they are and improve their velocity of learning for life.
OnlineMedEd’s supplemental educational content is utilized by 86% of all U.S. medical students with an NPS of 68 and reaches students in 190 countries. With an already accessible freemium product, OME sells to medical schools of all tiers in order to create even greater access to premium content.
